Perhaps ManuNice can give you some advice. Have you checked on a gite in the Nice area? http://www.gites-de-france.fr/eng/index.htm is the web site in English. These are usually small houses and/or apartments that are rented quite inexpensively.

Hopefully the forum administrator or ManuNice will pick up on this and give you some more suggestions.

OOoops… Sry I did miss that post!! To be honnest I don’t know alot of place where u can stay one or two week, I checked the web site of the above post, the price is X3 time what an appartment is for a local person, but it is less expensive than an hotel… Very small tough but nice area.
