We’re having a project about Bourgogne in our French class, and so I was thinking that maybe someone could help me out?
Give me some pointers on what to have about? Where to find the info?
Anything would be appreciated.
Here are the subjects we have to have about:
Geography,
History,
Persons (celebrities etc.),
Culture,
Society..
So if anyone could help, I would be very greatful.

kristert: cr95’s advice is very good. you might also just Google "burgundy" and then surf for untold hours. Donerail
You’re so lucky. None of my teachers ever let me do a report on Burgundy. It’s a fantastic region of France. I’m sure you already know it is one of the most well known wine making regions, but it also has some of the most interesting history in Europe too. The wine and the geography are intertwined because the topography, climate and geology all combine to create the different tastes of the grapes.
It’s fun to drive through the lovely vineyards and spot castles on top of the fairly high hills. One of the Christian crusades (the 2nd, I think) started in Burgundy. There is a small town called Vezelay with a beautiful church on top of its hill and the crusade left from there.
The suggestion to do a Google search is an excellent one. Before you do that, though, you might go to your school or public library and ask the reference librarian for some help. If you got a couple books on Burgundy and skimmed through them, it would give you a better idea of which Google search items would be most useful to you. There is nothing better than a good reference librarian!
Another source of information on the web is Fact Monster. http://www.factmonster.com/
This is a web site dedicated to helping students with homework. You can look up information and you can also e-mail for help.
Good luck on your report.
