Hiking in Provence
The combination of physical exercise and mental relaxation is intoxicating. We definitely go out early before the sun gets too high and always wear sunscreen. Sometimes we bring the kids [Cecilia, 8, and Philip, 5] for a picnic or just to smell the wonderful wild herbs. We usually leave from the hamlet Saint Antonin and hike the limestone mountain ridge, Montagne Sainte-Victoire; the mountain was also a source of inspiration for Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, and Wassily Kandinsky.”
