With the winter season now in full swing, Paris has no end of delights to amuse, entertain, and keep you occupied during your stay. Here’s a quick overview of a few of the best events the City of Light has to offer during the next couple of months.
Seasonal Events
- Christmas lights and displays
- Ice-skating rinks – fun for all the family at these free venues (look out for our blog next month about ice skating in Paris).
- Christmas markets (locally-made crafts, gifts, and candies, food and drink stalls, and of course, vin chaud).
- Hannukah candle lightings – dates and times here.
- The Autumn Festival (yes, we know that technically it’s now winter) – lots of contemporary art, music, drama, theatre, and cinema. Program details here.
Exhibitions
- Retrospective – Niki de Saint Phalle is arguably most famous for that ‘funny fountain by the Pompidou Center’. This retrospective brings her paintings, films, sculptures, and other artworks to a wider audience.
