My husband's family came from the town of Bleus in France. His cousin who has been visting us said she saw the town on a train between Paris and Calais.
I wonder if anyone has seen or heard of this town because we plan to visit later this year and would like to see where his ancestors came from.
Thanks in anticipation
Cheers Vanda

Comment On Town of Bleus
SalB
I looked in my Michelin France Tourist and Motoring Atlas and on http://www.viamichelin.com both and a town called Bleus does not appear in the index. Virtually every town, village and tiny commune is on this atlas; however, I have found a couple that are on the map but do not appear in the index. If you have an idea of where it is in France, you can often find it on the map.
On the Calais-Paris train line there is a small village called Bleue-Maison and that may be what your cousin saw. There are just a few streets, a tiny village.
Michelin.com lists about 60 places as alternate spellings for Bleus including a Bleu in the Haute Loire, a Cote Bleue and a Detroit-Bleu, both in the south and a La Cote Bleue.
I tried http://www.mappy.com with similar results and also did a Google search for Bleus to no avail. Is there a possible misspelling or any family history of what part of France you may be looking?
It is fun to visit ancestral homes. My husband's family is French and we managed to visit their native village about 10 years ago. It wasn't inspiring enough to return although we've often been in the area. We understood why they left. LOL
