I absolutely love Paris and would love to travel more in France, but my boyfriend has no intention of doing so. Are there any suggestions for enticing him with car-related activities? I know that there is always Formula 1 racing, but are there interesting car shows/ popular spots for car enthusiasts throughout France?
Thanks!

I know there is a pretty well known car museum somewhere in France. You might do a search and see where it is. I would think he might enjoy renting a sports car and driving around some of the roads, especially in southern France. It can be quite challenging.
There are plenty of French car enthusiasts so there must be activities for them! Try a search on France.com and then try a Google or other search. Let us know what you find.
holmgirl15: Bonjour and here is some good practical advice for the boyfriend. (1) Le Mans. You can actually drive on a part of the racecourse. Or the Monaco Grand Prix as well. (2) Driving in general – French roads and French drivers are beyond cool. (3) BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Toyota have great showrooms right on the Champs de l’Elysie. (4) the BHV hardware store, there is nothing like it. (5) Topless bathers and generally dynamite French women. Those tips should get him interested. Donerail
holmgirl15: BTW, the 2005 edition of France Guide is out. Click on franceguide.com and ask for one. You can’t beat the price. Its free and offers all sorts of helpful tips on traveling to LaFrance and further brochures on all areas and tastes. And I do mean all tastes. Donerail
Thanks Donerail, great advice! (except for the topless bathers and french women! I would like to keep him, ya know!) I will check out the site you mentioned… it just might work!!
