Comment On Searching for a city in centre france(Val de Loire)

Hi, Jamie. Centre is a pretty large section of France. Are you looking for anything in particular?
Chartres would be a first choice for me just because it is such a special place. There is the famous cathedral, of course, but there are several other lovely churches, a stained glass museum, a lovely medieval center and you would be in a good position to visit other area towns and the famous chateaus of the Loire Valley.
One of our favorite places is Azay-le-Rideau and we stay at the Hotel de Biencourt there. It’s a very small town and there’s not much there except the lovely chateau with it’s nighttime illumination but you are positioned to visit most of the Loire Valley.
If you like cities, Orleans is very nice and there is a lot to do there, including a very nice art museum.
If you’re looking for a place to stay, I have two recommendations. (1) Check the Hotel Search on this web site. It is excellent and covers the entire country. Just type in a city and search. (2) Try the Logis de France chain of small family-owned hotels at http://www.logis-de-france.fr/uk/
We’ve used both of these for reservations and both offer excellent choice and excellent service.
