I am going to Paris with my husband and my eight year old granddaughter on October 2 and we are staying by EuroDisney. We are going to EuroDisney. Is it a good idea to rent a car? We plan on taking the RER to Paris. What are the other places in Paris can I take my granddaughter? How is driving outside of Paris? Is it the same as in US? We were in Paris in May and we saw the driving in Paris and it was scary. I am a little nervous this time because we are on our own in this Paris trip.

I say if you thought driving in Paris was scary, don’t rent a car, take the RER. It’s cheap convenient, and it should definitely do the trick.
Where else can you take your granddaughter? Depends what’s her age and what she likes, but the Louvre should be high on your list, and so is going to the Eiffel Tower. You should also take a Seine River cruise, and if you have the time, take a day to visit Versailles, the "orginal" disneyland ;-).
There are a few other things, but without knowing more about age and interests, it’s hard to recommend.
Cheers,
Gaston
You are coming from the states? Why would you spend any of your time in Paris going to Disneyland? Save that for a trip to Florida or California!
We took our three children (ages 9,8,6) to Paris last year and they had the time of their lives. I reccomend the book Paris with (for?)Families. Lots of ideas about travel with children.
You know what?
Cbrand is absolutely right! Save Disneyland for a trip to Florida. There’s so much to see in Paris that it would be a shame to have come so close and not experience what cannot be experienced at home…
A trip to Disneyland will make your granddaughter happy. A visit to Paris main monuments may enrich her life for many years to come.
Just one thought.
