Dijon is the capital of the eastern French region of Burgundy (Bourgogne).
Dijon is perhaps best known for its mustard (named after the town) which is still produced locally, but it is also one of the most beautiful cities in France, having avoided being devastated by bombing in WWII.

The city has a population of 110,000 and its metropolitan area includes some 520,000 inhabitants.
I am on my first solo adventure abroad and am flying into Paris CDG. I have a ticket to take the TGV from CDG to Avignon. Is the TGV station actually in the airport or do I need to find a shuttle or something. I want to make sure I have enough time to clear customs and catch my train. Any advice would be appreciated.                                                                                           Thanks                                                                                                                            Tom O'
I am having trouble regarding train travel in france and between france and germany.
When I search online I am able to find Rail Europe, Eurail, and Euro Railways.
They all seem to offer the same kind of packages…but searching for specific trains produces different results. Also, some of them have night trains and some dont, and some require reservations and some dont. And I am not sure if a reservation needs to be booked now, before I leave for my trip…or when I get to the station and ready to go? I am so confused!
I was wondering if anyone can explain which of these is better and how to go about bookings. I'm finding it extremely confusing! 🙁
