It’s a lovely area. You’ll enjoy it. Have you tried a search on France.com yet? Just click on the blue and red France.com above and then click on hotels. Choose "Browse hotels" and you will probably need to enter Orleans since that is the nearest city. (It’s a really nice city!)
If you don’t find anything you like there, try http://www.logis-de-france.fr/uk/recherch/index-ca.htm and see what you find. It will bring you to a map of the Orleans area and you can click on the little green symbols to see photos of each hotel with prices and information. It’s the Logis de France web site. The ones I saw in the area are budget hotels. We stayed in one a little southwest a year ago and toured a few chateaus we hadn’t seen before. The Logis de France hotels range from bleak budget to chateaus so the photos are very helpful. We’ve stayed in some really inexpensive ones and they aren’t fancy but they are clean and the food will be very good. The staff is usually wonderful. We always book through France.com or Logis de France and have had terrific luck with both.
Do visit Chenonceau while you’re there. The chateau is lovely and the gardens are wonderful although may not be in full bloom in early April. If you can, visit Chateau Villandry too. The chateau is nice but the gardens are famous . . . absolutely lovely.
If you can’t find a hotel there, try http://www.karenbrown.com/ and see if that helps. It is the Karen Brown web site and features B&Bs. We’ve never used the Karen Brown for booking so I can’t recommend it; I can only tell you about it, but it looks very nice.
