I will be traveling to Paris for the first time on business and done some extensive research. I have decided to stay in the St. Germain area with the following hotels in mind. Could someone tell which one they prefer?
Hotel Balzac
Hotel Bel Ami
Artus Hotel (formerly Buci Latin)
Hotel de L’Abayye
Hote du Danub
hotel La Villa St. Germain des Pres
Hotel L’Aubusson
Hotel le St. Gregoire
Victoria Place
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You probably already have traveled but the Hotel de Abbaye is a good choice. Not to far away is the Hotel Notre Dame – excellent,
Hi Robert,
Just a quick note: the first hotel is in the Champs-Elysees area…
If you’re going for business, I would try and focus on 4 star hotels, budget permitting. L’Abbaye is a good choice, but so are the hotel d’Aubusson or La Villa Saint-Germain. The Saint-Gregoire is a very nice place, a little bit out of the action, and less subject to street noise.
Bottom line, you can’t go wrong with any of these!

I love the Hotel Madison. It is beautifully located on the Blvd. St. Germain, across from the church and the Café Deux Magots, on a quiet little cul de sac. The rooms on the blvd. side are a bit more expensive, but the view of St. Germain is worth it. The staff is delightful, the breakfasts are delicious and exquisitely served, and there is easy access to 5 different metro lines. Perfect! Enjoy your trip – Carrie
Carrie,
I have reserved a room at the hotel you suggested after conducting extensive research. I believe my room will be facing the courtyard – maybe I should request a change! Thanks, Carey R.
