Golf de la Porcelaine
It is located in Limousin, a land of trees and water whose undulating contours give it an ideal setting for golfers of all levels. An imaginative use of nature's resources has resulted in a most attractive course.
Situated less than 5 kms from Limoges on the slopes of the Vienne Valley. La Porcelaine has fairways laid out in a splendid verdant setting over 75 hectares. The peacefulness of this corner of Limousin called Celicroux lends itself perfectly to the demands of this 18 hole course.
A well equipped practice area enables one to practice while overlooking one of the delightful panoramic views for which Limousin is justly famous. The practice area is completed with a multi-sloped putting green that has a surface that truly reflects those of the course greens and even golfers of the lowest handicaps will enjoy a friendy challenge on it.
Jean Garailde, the course architect, has skilfully and sensitively used the natural terrain to create a course of 6042m (6600 yards approximately), par 72, with many features including trees, streams, ponds, bunkers etc. While many challenge and reward the lower handicapper it is forgiving to the higher handicapper and golf here is a pleasure for all.
