I am trying to find someone from France to interview for a college assignment. I haven’t had any luck on the chat websites I’ve found. Here are the questions, if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
1. Culture and/or country of interviewee:
2. How do people greet each other ?(shake hands, bow, embrace, other)?
3. As a visitor to the country, would you exchange gifts at the first meeting? What gifts are considered appropriate? If flowers, what kind? (Some have special meanings.)
4. How are children educated? At what age do they begin school? Do boys and girls generally go to separate schools, or are they separated by sex in the same school?
5. What is the literacy rate for the country? You can find this information by looking at CountryWatch.com and/or the EIU database available at Franklin University?s library Web site.
6. How is garbage collection dealt with?
7. What is the normal dress for men and women?
8. What foods, if any, are generally not eaten?
9. Are there gestures or movements that would not be acceptable in polite society?

Hello Jennifer(?)
I am a mexican (female) teenager, now don’t get me wrong I’m just here to help you with everything I know about france If that helps on your assignment in any way.
You can contact me at icefigure-ny-artfrexo@hotmail.com
but for now I’ll try to answer your questions with one condition only = how did you got to post your work here? what did you do? can you send me the instructions please!? and tell me how to chat? that’s all I ask you for.I’m a novice(?)
And now, back to answering your questions=
1. I guess I can answer both but it’s more about culture.
2. They greet each other by shaking hands once (well usually that’s what they do with strangers) they never shake hands many times.
3. You don’t have to give gifts the first time however it is always nice of you to do it and it is an extreme honor when someone invites you to their home for dinner and you should always bring a gift such as flowers or chocolate but never bring christantemums, those big fluffy yellow flowers(sorry I don’t know how to spell it) because those are given during funerals and a special day of the death I think which I forgot but you better ask someone about it. Never bring wine of any kind because it may not go with what is being served and your hosts may feel obligated to serve it. You are not required to arrive on time and dinner will not be served inmediately. You should never ask for a tour of the home and not ask what their age, salary, or what political parties they are in however you may talk about politics like what they think about something. If you want know more about the manners write or else I’ll never finish with this
4. I don’t know at what age do they start but I know they don’t have middle school because they think its a waste of time and I’m sure both boys and girls go to the same school since the schools we have studied both genders attend to the same school but you better look up this question since I’m not sure and I don’t want to get a bad grade.
5.Sorry I don’t know anything about this question.
6.Neither do I know about this one.
7.I think men and women dress formally and also I know they like to wear black. I definetly(is this how you spell it? I don’t think so either) know that they can identify americans by their shoes and their clothes so you can get an idea that they usually don’t wear americans’ clothes.
8.Not eaten? Perhaps cheesecake, sorry I learned about what IS eaten.
9.Hmmm well when you greet each other you should not shake hands violently and women of all ages at any beach are allowed to be topless. Ask later it’s a long story.
10.I don’t think so. They have fair prices.
11.Well I’m not sure what leisure is but if you can explain me I’ll help you.
12. Well I don’t know but I know that the french buy their groseries daily since they think it’s fresher.
Well I haven’t finished with your questions and sorry I didn’t help much but If you want more Information then let me know.
