I know what you mean. I know what you’re going through. I’ll be 30 in 24 days and it’s just killing me.

Good grief. What will you folks do when you pass 60? Please don’t give up and grow old now. You’re far too young. I’m sure my 88 year old mother would agree with me. She still doesn’t think she’s old. Hooray for her!!

Thank you. What you said is expected. Actually I don’t think I’m something old.

My 88 year old mother says that in your mind you never get old. She says it is very strange walking around in a body that is getting older when the mind stays young and active. I guess it makes sense when you think about it. She does sometimes find bodily limitations frustrating. For instance, she has given up travel. That would make me crazy. She’s handling it very well. Perhaps I’ll mellow with age . . . if I ever get old.

What a horrible topic. I wish I was approaching forty so that I could answer the question. Unfortunately, I passed that milestone some time ago. I now feel like I am a contestant on that old USA gameshow: "Beat the Clock." Donerail

worldman, In what country do you live? There is a lot of talk in the US about discrimination against older workers. Perhaps we could learn something from your country.
Thanks for posting.

Ah, That makes sense. China has a history of great respect for their elders. I think that is wonderful, but I guess it does make it difficult for younger workers to get better jobs. I never thought of that.

Gawd, I’m in my early 40s and I don’t think that I’m old!. Age is just a number, it’s the age of the mind that counts, not the age on your birth certificate 🙂

Americans tend to be age-obsessed.

Life is like fine cognac. You need to be older to ripen and taste delicious

you are absolutely correct Sal! americans are obsessed with age! I am 35 and look like 18, I am in great shape and look better in a bikini than a lot of the "younger " girls. I love being in my thirties, I know my self, I am comfortable with my body, my sexuallity, I feel sexier than when I was 18, I am like fine French wine…need I say more?..lol

No my friend, you’re not old,you just go right now thru what is known as "middle age"crisis, but don’t worry,it will vanish soon.it’s what and who you are in your body and spirit that counts, and if you feel young inside, then who can stop you from not being on the outside? I am 48 years old, should I prepare myself to die now?No way buddy. I am 30 years old inside,I were tees with Ozzy Osbourne or Jimi Hendrix or jim Morrison etc.I have a pony tail and feel cool every second.I am not to old for rock’n roll and not to old to die. So wake up tomorrow and think life is beautiful and enjoy every minute of it,you’re young and act as you are, throw away the facade made of suits and ties, burn them and learn to be free,it’s the sign of youth.
