Is there anyone out there who has camped while in France? Can you rent campers (RVs???) and just tour around the country?
My boyfriend did that with some family members while in Alaska, and it seems to be a very economical way to see as many sites as possible in one trip. They rented an RV near the airport, and then drove around with their hotel right in their rental car. Just a little FYI for anyone planning on visiting the states and want to make many destinations without booking a ton of hotels!

THANKS IN ADVANCE.
Bonjour Forum!
I am a newbie to the forums, and I’ve been having a great time reading your discussions on everything! It sounds like a lively debate, and I’m excited to find some people that are willing to discuss things!
I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on W’s tour of Europe and his rekindled relationship with Chirac over Syria.
Personally, I am glad that he’s started to (although half-heartedly) renew Transatlantic relations. I know he’s only doing it for selfish reasons (maybe the fact that he can’t conquer the evildoers w/o them??? evildoers = biggest joke ever), any diplomacy is welcomed at this point, in my book.
Any thoughts?
15 Read MoreI absolutely love Paris and would love to travel more in France, but my boyfriend has no intention of doing so. Are there any suggestions for enticing him with car-related activities? I know that there is always Formula 1 racing, but are there interesting car shows/ popular spots for car enthusiasts throughout France?
Thanks!
4 Read MoreWe are making our first trip to France to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Through timeshare we were able to find a hotel in Mallemort. We prefer not to rent a car. We need to get to Mallemort from Marseille. We also cannot visit France without taking a few days to see Paris. We were told that train travel was excellent in France. Can we use trains to travel to these places or must we rent a car?

We are planning on starting in Paris and making a big loop south on the west of France, down along the Meddeterinain , and the back to Paris along the east/central part of France. We think this will get us an overall view of France in the short time of 3 weeks we will be there. We know we want to do this loop, but we don’t know where exactly we want to go, ie cities to visit/ stay in. We have been talking about this for a long time but we can’t seem to figure out where we want to go. We really need some ideas from locals or people who have been there. Please help!
I’m up for hearing anything!
Thanks,
summermouse
Les Invalides in Paris, France consists of a complex of buildings in the 7th arrondissement, now containing museums and monuments, all relating to France’s military history, as well as a hospital and a retirement home for war veterans, the building’s original purpose. It is also the burial site for some of France’s war heroes.

No insignia or people are visible in the picture. It was not immediately known when the video was shot.
“My name is Florence Aubenas, I am French,” a haggard-looking Aubenas said. “I am journalist with Liberation (a French newspaper).
“Please help me, my health is very bad. I’m very bad psychologically also. Please, it’s urgent now, help me.”
Aubenas was abducted on January 5 along with her interpreter as they left their hotel in the Iraqi capital.
