The Palais Garnier is a grand landmark at the northern end of the Avenue de l’Opera in Paris, France. It is regarded as one of the architectural masterpieces of its time. Built in the Neo-Baroque style, it is the thirteenth theatre to house the Paris Opera since it was founded by Louis XIV in 1669.
It was often also called the Paris Opera, but since the building of the Opera Bastille in 1989, it is referred to as the Opera Garnier.
(CBS)Â If you’ve ever wondered how French women stay slim while eating cheese, bread, and drinking wine, the book “French Women Don’t Get Fat” has the answers.
Author Mireille Guiliano visits The Early Show to share slimming secrets French women have known for years.
Consider this, only 11 percent of French people are obese compared to 30 percent of Americans who are 30 pounds heavier than a healthy weight. And the reason is not because French women smoke more. The percentage of female French smokers is not much greater compared to the number of Americans who smoke according to the American Cancer Society.
Bye ! Mélanie

Hello everyone,
My boyfriend and I are moving to Milan after a wonderful five months in Paris, and we have two gym memberships for sale. The memberships are for a beautiful club in the 7th arrondissement (a lovely 17th century building), just off St. Germain des Pres. They enable use of all machines at any hour in which the gym is open, saunas and hammams, all the collective courses (yoga, stretching, abdominals, etc.), and you will be closely followed by a team of instructors and doctors throughout your time there. If anyone is interested please contact me at gemmawheeler@hotmail.com for more information, pictures, prices, etc. ASAP as we’re moving to Italy next week!
