Colette
Colette was the pen name of the famous French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (January 28, 1873 – August 3, 1954).
She was born in Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye, Yonne, in the Burgundy Region of France, the daughter of Jules-Joseph Colette and Adele Eugenie Sidonie Landoy (‘Sido’). In 1893 she married Henri Gauthier-Villars. Her first books, the Claudine series, were published under the pen name of her husband, ‘Willy’.
Lille 2004: european capital of culture
The Cultural Capitals of Europe were created by the Ministers of Culture of the European Community. Athens became the first Cultural Capital of Europe in 1985.
The event was conceived in order to help bring together different cultures.
To be named as Cultural Capital of Europe represents an unparalleled opportunity to assert the city’s identity on the European cultural map, as well as generating important media and tourism interest.
After Lille, we will have to wait until 2013 before another French city has the honour of hosting the Cultural Capital of Europe.

Help about immigration in france !
Hi,
Here is my trouble, i m a french guy, i met an US girl half a year ago, i went to visit her few times and now we would like to establish a serious relationship, that is mostly living together.
As my job situation in france is much better than her, we decided the best way would be for her to move in france.
From what i read, as an US citizen, with only her passport, she can come in france for 3 month but then need to go back to US for 3 month before coming back in Europe.
One solution would be to ask for a long stay VISA to france, but i m unsure if the reson "I want to live with a french guy" is enough to ask for it and i m worried about the fact the long stay VISA could be rejected.
