A friendlier, more welcoming France? In Bordeaux, the country’s oldest and most iconic wine-growing region, the answer is yes. Falling sales among its many bottlings (due to a large increase in worldwide production) have caused many Bordelais to embr…
I'm a teenager and I'll be traveling this July to Paris, Provence, the Riviera and Spain. I know that in Europe they are more "trendy" than we are in the US and I don't want to look like a tourist. However, I still want to be comfortable since we are going to be walking a lot. Most importantly, I want to look cute while not frying in the hot weather. I also want things that are versatile so I can pack less.
bonjour! ca va bein? i am writing you today to ask about what culinary schools are located in france. Being located in canada it is difficult for me to find this information if you could please reply to this post because I need this information I would not be able to thank you enough.

I am an American who has been reading about France for a few days now just out of curiosity. It really struck me when I watched the movie Sicko.(i dislike michael moore but his videos are very blunt) I began reading more about Europe in general especially about France. I took art history when I was in high school along with French Language. So I have long had a fascination with France it seems beautiful its people seem very laid back and even more they take a stand for what they want. They do something about bad politics.
As I said I am very inspired and am just wondering what its like to be a Stater in France. What is the general realistic attitude towards Staters right now, I know that our politics are far from agreeing but are our people clashing also?
hey there, im a young kiwi male who is going to be backpacking in france for a few weeks at the begining of May this year. I am able to speak french at an intermediate level and i was wondering what cities are fun and would be good to go to at this particular time of year?
I will be traveling from Paris to Provence by train, planning to rent a car once there. I will need to return the car. Is Provence that big that it won't be possibe to back track to return the car within the two days I plan on being in Provence, and then take the train to Italy?
Also, is Nice the best place to get a train while in that area, on to Italy?
Any help appreciated.
Travelers to any destination in Europe can expect to spend a great deal of time walking. This is a good thing, since there’s so much wonderful food to enjoy! Touring the French countryside on foot gives you an especially up-close view of life in France, and […]
French President Nicolas Sarkozy went to elaborate lengths to keep his wedding to former supermodel Carla Bruni a near state secret until it was over, a Paris district mayor has revealed.
Sarkozy, 53, and the Italian Bruni, 40, were married Saturday in a first floor reception room of the Elysee Palace, with about 20 relatives and close friends present, according to Francois Lebel, the local mayor who officiated.
Bonjour!
I will be visiting Paris for 6 days in March. The trip is a present for me and my husband. I am American and have never before been outside the U.S.A. I am nervous becase of this: I am a very overweight woman, even American standards. By Parisian standards … well, let's just say that I expect to stand out-not in a good way. I do speak some French, which I have been practicing, and I do dress well.Â
But still, I've been having these nightmares in which these skinny Parisiennes, clad in the latest haute couture fashions eye me disdainfully and snooty waiters refuse to serve me. I know I'm probably just being paranoid about the stereotype of Parisian rudeness, but really, what am I letting myself in for?
