Hello everyone,
Can somebody please tell me if the month of December is good for travelling to Lourdes in France? Will it be very cold? Also, if anyone can suggest a good hotel for a family of three adults close to the shrine. I will be travelling from Oman into Charles De Gaulle and would like to know, how to travel to Lourdes on the same day. Any suggestions are welcome regarding the trip. Other than the shrine, are there any other places to visit in Lourdes?
Thank you,
Does anyone have any opinions whether it’s a good idea to get a 3 day Eurail pass that includes a rental car for 2 days?
I am travelling alone and want to go to Zerbst, Germany from Lyon and perhaps up to Normandy and I have heard the trains don’t go very close and thought a car would be a good idea.
And also – are there plenty of B&Bs in small towns in France and Germany?
Thanks for suggestions or warnings or just plain HELP!

Help! I am looking for accomodation in Paris for a family of five in August. Two adults and kids 10, 12 and 13. Everything seems to be for four or fewer… Any leads?
I will be bringing a digital camera with me and am hoping to be able to have a CD made of the pictures every day. Are there facilities in the Lyon (particularly) area but also all over France where this could be done swiftly and inexpensively?
If it CANNOT be done, I could bring a 35mm instead. I don’t want to have a problem finding places to do this for me.
If it matters, I have a SONY camera and they have a Memory Stick.
Thank you.
Patti
We read a lot of France, and we’d like to meet the married coupleof the same age, like we are, young retired people for friendship, visiting America, travelling with us. We do like classical music, painting, gardening, tasty and healthy food.
We’d be glad to have the french friends. We started learning French language.
PARIS, May 24 (Reuters) – France went down on their knees at the 2002 World Cup because Zinedine Zidane injured his thigh a few days before the start of the tournament.
French fans might also kneel, this time as a testimony of admiration, if the balding playmaker leaves his mark on the European Championship as he did in the 1998 World Cup final or the 2002 Champions League final.
With the Euro 2004 finals starting next month, the soft-spoken Zidane will have the opportunity to show once again that he is among the world’s greatest ever players.
The brilliant playmaker has extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2007 but he was a little more coy when asked if he would go on with Les Bleus after the competition in Portugal.
The medal, the country’s top military honour for bravery, recognises their courage during World War II.
The men risked their lives and were often wounded during the fight for liberation.
The veterans receiving the honour were Alexander Barron, Tom Bird, Dennis Cox, Gordon Fleming, Frank Jones, Charles Kennedy and Percy Redfern.
Established by Napoleon Bonaparte in May 1802, the Legion d’Honneur is awarded for gallantry in action or 25 years’ distinguished service in military or civilian life.
I’m hoping someone would be able to tell me how high the Massif
Central mountains are, how high the mountains near Tarbes are, and
what the population of Auch is.
Also, on a cultural note: anyone know some great sites or sources
for a take on dating/the battle of the sexes? I haven’t searched
extensively on this subject yet, but I’m dying to find how singles
view the dating scene and each other.
Thanks,

Roland Garros (October 6, 1888 – October 5, 1918) was a French fighter pilot who is still erroneously called the world’s first fighter ace. (That honor went to another French airman, Adolphe Pegoud.)
Pernod Fils (pronounced: Perno-Fee) was the most popular brand of absinthe during the period before prohibition of absinthe throughout most of Europe (1915). Like most absinthe, the herbs wormwood, fennel, hyssop, anise, and star anise, among others, were first macerated, and then placed in a larger still where they were then distilled, to produce a transparent liquor.
