American boy/man learning French in school
I am a first year French student, but I am jetsetting to France in December. It will be quite the adventure, as I do not know where I will stay yet. School is great, but speaking with a French speaker should advance my learning before I land in the country.
I’m 23 years old, live in Texas. Anyone else in their 20’s or 30’s that speaks French and would like to learn English as a bonus should please send a mail.

I understood,somewhat, way Americans were angry right after that comfrontation at the UN. That was somrtime back,why are Americans so angry at France. ou don’t see this atitude tord Russia or Germany..,and the other coutries oposed to the invasion of Iraq. My name is French,there are very few people in this ciuntry,so people ask me what country my name originated in, I answer ,France. You would not believe the looks I get, you would think I was a traitor. I love the US, I also love France. Is that so bad? Lady Liberty is a French symbol,not Americann. Let’ overlook our differences and look at all we have in common,please before it’s too late.

I really don’t care if my pen pal is young or old,to a certain point. Also I really love history,not the boring kind in school, but phlosophical and timeline disscussions. I’m not as boring as all that ,just lonly. I’m so shy off this computor I have not met anyone that wants to be friends, not lest lovers. I always wanted to visit France,and now this rift between our countries is making me crazy. Good Americans aren’t supposed to love everything French like I do. My Last name is Gimbert, A French name, I gave up a long time ago trying to get people to pronounce it properly,it seem they either callme MS Gilbert or they pronounce the t at the end of my name. France is loosing it's soul
There was a time, long before my own, that France was thought of as a country of no prejudice. Black performers from the US could live in France and perform while being treated as equals. These people learned French culture and the lanuage. There were never that many foreign nationals, but today is a different story, the same thing is happening,on a smaller scale, as is happening in America. When people move to a new to take up residence they must conform with the customs, language, and become assimilated into the native land they have chosen to live in. A good example would be me, I can read a lot of French, I even can understand my Jacque Brel records. I just can’t seem to master the language. In other words I can’t speak French.
