We scheduled an Eiffel Tower dinner and Siene cruise tour for 308 Euros and at the last minute my wife came down sick and we could not reschedule the excursion.  I attempted to reschedule although no one replied until a day later with a terse reply, Quote:  "I feel sorry for you it is not possible. There is nothing I can do for you. The cruise was booked for May 30. And regarding cancellation the tour operator requires a minimum of 2 days before the departure of the tour.

    I lived in Les Ormes, France in the mid 50's on Rue Du Pont. A family I knew on the some street by the name of Monsier, Madame Raymond, and daughter Michell and Nicole. Nicole ( Nicky ) married a Claude Roy and had one son Phippe in te 1960"s. If anyone has any information about the Raymonds or the Roys please contact them or me so that I may make contact with them. Just returned from a great holiday in the south of France Aquitaine, Lot-et-Garonne, I wanted to rent a gite direct with the property owner and not use a travel agent. I came across serveral websites that advertised gite rental. However, the one we used was www.SimplyGites.com it was an easy to use site, and put us in contact with the owner. It was a great experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Stop Over Paris

Hi, My friend and I are joining a winery tour to Chablis and Burgundy the late August.  We are thinking to stop over to Paris for Friday-Sunday before we head up to Chablis.

In the Forum, I found that Normandie and Loire sounds interesting, are they public transportation accessible? Is train convenient?.  IS day trip doable?

Also, we know nothing about lodging, such as B&B, hotel.  Should we find some here close to train station? Any idea?
