Hello Karen. France is a very large country, the largest in Europe. How much time do you have for your trip? Is there anything you really want to see besides Paris?
We just got back from France last week. If you need the car for 17 days or longer, consider leasing a car. That's what we do and it works out well. You get a brand new car of your choice, fully insured and with 24-hour roadside assistance. You pay before you go so there are no hidden charges. We lease a Peugeot but I have a friend who leases a Renault. Both companies have excellent programs.
