Home of Biarritz, Bordeaux, St. Emilion and Lourdes. Aquitaine is the southwest region of France and entrance to the Pyrenees Mountains and to Spain.
This is your homework so you need to do the research yourself. Here are some suggestions to help you.
Type Aquitaine into the small search window at the top right of your screen. If you scroll down past the very useful map of the region, you will see some blue links to the information you need. Right click on each link and scroll to "Open in New Window." That way you can read the article, make notes and then close the window to return to the original article and click on the other links.
If you haven't tried Wikipedia, do that. It's not always completely accurate, but it is a great start and will have more links you can use.
Go to http://www.virtualtourist.com and type Aquitaine into their search window. This will bring you to the members' Travel Pages on the region. You can also type the names of the major cities into the window to get more VT Travel Pages. Keep in mind this is written by tourists and some are more accurate than others. Don't take it as gospel but there will be links to more information for you. Official web sites of cities and regions should be accurate.
Do a Google or Yahoo search on Aquitaine, Biarritz, Bordeaux, St. Emilion and Lourdes to see what you get. Again, use the right click and "Open in New Window" so you can keep returning to your search results without having to wait for it to load or having to find it again.
It's a gorgeous and very historic area of France so you should enjoy doing the research. Perhaps someday you can make a trip and you will have a good start on knowing where to go and what to do.
