I used the reservation search on the site here and received the following message – "Looking for other property."
I know the hotel I was looking for – the Hotel du Palais in Montpellier doesn’t appear to have a web presence – so does that mean the site is waiting for my approval to look for another hotel?
I’d like to stay at this one due to the location, so I really don’t want to look elsewhere until I find out they are booked full.
Any help on clarifying the process would be appreciated.

When you receive an email saying that we are looking for another property, it is because we were not able to find any room for your dates at the hotel you made the initial request for.
We sent you an email saying the hotel was fully booked and that we will find you another hotel in the same category, price, city and dates.
We then sent you a second email with a hotel matching the criteria which has availability (in this case the Alliance Métropole).
You are at liberty to then choose the second choice or let us know that you do not intend to stay there and we’ll release the rooms.
We’re doing this to help you, because it is often easier and faster for us to find you the right replacement hotel than for you to look for it online.

Something odd is occurring. I never recieved either email. I tried to check on my registered email address here by clicking on the "my info" tab and my browser, Firefox, erred out with:
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
I thought maybe it was Firefox, but I found IE will not load the page either.
So, in short, I’m not sure why I didn’t get the emails with the information.
Any thoughts on what I could perhaps do next?

Hello,
It seems that some emails that were sent yesterday and the day prior had not been received. So that may be the reason why you did not receive them.
In any event, I will send it again now, and you can see the history of your reservation (and therefore these emails even if you did not receive them) by logging to visitfrance.travel and clicking on the left hand side where your reservation appears.
As I said I’m going to send the email again. Hopefully you’ll get it this time.
