Practice Your Language Skills With Franglish!

Franglish

Do you ever get frustrated when in France, that some folks just don’t seem to be able to understand you, even when you speak your best, carefully-practiced French? Have you ever wished your French could be better? Have you ever wanted to be able to speak just a few basic phrases? Well, we have the answer – Franglish!

Franglish is an innovative concept, which allows English and French speakers to meet up for the purpose of language-skills exchange. Having an app on your Smartphone, or a phrasebook is all very well but as we’ve found when visiting other countries, very often, what they teach you is not the same as what the locals are speaking. What better then, than being able to sit down in an informal setting, for 15 minutes at a time, and chatting with a native speaker in order to perfect your pronunciation and understanding of the French language?

Franglish takes the form of 14-minute one-to-one conversations, with half in English and half in French. Each event, held several times a week, depending on the location, lasts for two hours, giving you multiple opportunities to speak with different people.

These highly social events are held 4-5 times a week in Paris, and twice a week in Nice, Montpellier, Lyon, Nantes, Bordeaux, Lille, Aix-en-Provence, Grenoble, Rennes, and Strasbourg. Events are also held in London, Oxford, Manchester, and Cambridge in the UK, and beginning in November, across New York.
