THE INSTITUTE
At just 25 min. from Bordeaux and 35 min. from Bordeaux-Mérignac international airport, the Relais de Margaux is located on the banks of the Gironde in a 55-hectare (136-acre) estate in the heart of the famous Médoc vineyards. The estate, founded by the Vincent de Cantenac family, belonged to a wealthy Bordeaux family for more than a century, and was then attached to the Château Margaux until 1984. The Vincent estate was transformed into a country hotel in 1985, successfully preserving the intimacy of the plush 19th-century family château and combining it with today‚s comforts. Adjoining the spa centre and directly accessible from it, the luxury four-star hotel has 100 rooms. Spacious and quiet, each one decorated in a unique style, the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, direct telephone lines, WiFi Internet access, minibars, satellite television,safes, trouser presses and fully-equipped bathrooms.

Access
From Paris, follow signs to Mérignac. Once you have passed the Pont d’Aquitaine suspension bridge, take exit 7 signposted «Le Bouscat, Eysines Le Vigean, Médoc».
Then follow signs for « Médoc, Eysines Le Vigean», «Blanquefort», «Macau», «Labarde» and then «Pauillac» on the D2 road. You will pass through the villages of Macau, Labarde, Cantenac and Issan before arriving in Margaux.
As you leave Margaux, turn right (at the signpost marked «Relais de Margaux»), following a small road for 2 km (11/4 miles) alongside the vineyards, which will bring you to the Relais de Margaux hotel.
From the airport, follow signs for «Rocade Paris», then take exit 7 signposted «Le Bouscat, Eysines Le Vigean, Médoc» and follow the directions above.
From Toulouse, follow signs for Mérignac to join the «Rocade Paris» route, then take exit 7 signposted «Le Bouscat, Eysines Le Vigean, Médoc» and follow the directions above.
