It would help if you mentioned how long you were staying and what particularly interests you. A list of "sights in Paris" would fill a book. In fact, it has filled several.
If you like lists, you might go to your local bookstore and find Top Ten Paris. It is part of the Eye Witness Guides and there is also Eye Witness Paris. Both are excellent although the Top Ten would serve your purpose since it is full of lists. They usually take ten areas and then divide each into ten sights so they cover much more than ten tourist sights.
Some of my favorites are:
(1) Notre Dame de Paris (cathedral)
(2) Tuileries Gardens
(3) Cluny Museum (Musee de Moyen Age) and garden
(4) Musee d'Orsay (the Impressionists are all there)
(5) Louvre (you can spend weeks in it but there are favoritesÂ
    (a) Mona Lisa (la Giocanda)
    (b) Winged Victory of Samothrace
    (c) Venus di Milo
    (d) for me Houdon's busts of Washington and Franklin
    (e) for me again, the 14th century collection
    (f) thousands of other exhibits
(6) Ste. Chapelle (stunning stained glass)
(7) Place des Vosges (most beautiful square in Paris)
(8) Luxembourg Gardens
(9) Musee Rodin (fantastic sculptures, park and tea garden)
(10) Musee Picasso (his collection and the fabulous old mansion)
That's my Top Ten. Hopefully a few others will add theirs. You should go to your local bookstore and check a few guidebooks to give you an idea where to start.
Also, when you arrive, purchase "Paris Pratique par Arrondissement" which is a marvelous 5 x 7-inch booklet that has a complete map of every street and alley in Paris, an index of all these streets, a complete map of Metro, RER and bus and emergency phone numbers. You can't get lost if you have this booklet and it fits in your jacket pocket or purse.

The Paris Disneyland is part of the greater Paris area. You can easily reach it by train. You take the RER to the Marne-la-Vallee stop and you are right at Disneyland. There are hotels there too.

hi i was wondering is the SEINE CRUISE + ILLUMINATIONS and SEINE CRUISE + ILLUMINATIONS + DINNER ON THE CHAMPS ELYSEES ; on both tours is the seine cruise conducted by boat or other form of transportation and which would you recommend? let me know asap as i will be there in august?

Hi. My assumption would be that both are by boat but the second would involve transportation by other means to a dinner on the Champs Eysees. I will have someone from France.com contact you for a definitive answer on this.
Hope you enjoy your trip. We were there about a month ago and had a terrific time. Check out the Tuileries Gardens, my favorite place in Paris.

The Seine Cruises are indeed conducted by boat. You glide on the river passing by many of Paris' landmark, but the Illuminations part is done by bus, allowing to see the landmarks not covered in the Seine cruise
The difference between the 2 tours isthat the latter includes a diner on the Champs-Elysees restaurant.
