I will be travelling in March in the south of France with my wife and children and would like to rent a minivan with automatic transmission.Does anyone know of a company that rents them–preferably with pickup at the nice airport.

If you’ll be there for 17 days or longer, lease a car. It’s cheaper. We always use Peugeot. Their web site is http://www.peugeot.com/sodexa/en/html/index_ns.html
They cover all insurance, your insurance card, have automatic transmission and all sizes of cars. They also have 24 hour road service. We’ve only had a problem once and they were there and had it fixed within 30 minutes.
We’ve never used them, but others have recommended AutoEurop.com for rentals. I suspect they are fine. We did lease from Kemwel in 1996 and had no problems with them. We’re just used to our little Peugeot by now and always get that.
