After many hours over the pond (Atlantic Ocean), I arrived at the CDG airport and the ParisShuttle swirled me to the Hotel de Louvre in the center of Paris. I was welcomed by Madame, Sophie and the staff members with great hosipitality and kindness. My room sits over the courtyard and a nice breeze from the Seine River greeted me day and night.

Day 1 – I took the "Historic Core of Paris" Walk, beginning at Notre-Dame Cathedal where I studied its sculpture and windows, took in a Mass.

Across the river to the Ile St. Louis took me to some interesting shops and the ice cream parlor was a die for before looping thru the Latin Quarter neighborhood St. Michel and St. Germain. From the St. Michel a look across the river gave me a full view of Sainte-Chappelle church and it weathervane angel. I decided to venture closer to view the Gothic church and discovered it was made of glass like no other, magnificent!

I fine that walking in Paris is very good for the heart and soul. I lost 8 lbs. Day 2 tour will be coming soon. Have A Nice Day!
