I tried going to http://www.pagesjaunes.fr/pb.cgi to find a friend, but I do not have his address and it did not come up with anything. Do you have any other suggestions? He lives in Nice. I have his email address, but for some reason it keeps bouncing back. When you are emailing internationally, is there anything else you need to add to the email address? His ends in @voila.FR?

jindajones, You don’t have to do anything to an e-mail address when it is international. All e-mails travel the same Internet with the same address. If it keeps bouncing back, that means the person has probably changed to another carrier, i.e. changed from AOL to Yahoo or something like that. Often people change when they find something cheaper or faster. Perhaps the person changed to high speed Internet and had to start a new address. There are many reasons.

If the yellow pages haven’t worked and the e-mail address doesn’t work, the only thing I can suggest is try regular search engines like Google, Yahoo or Ask Jeeves. There are many different search engines and they all work a little differently so try as many as you can find. Do a general "search engine" search on one to get a few carriers.

When my father, Herbert Blaylock, was stationed in Europe during WWII, he met a woman from Marseilles who was named Francoise Meimiolli (I don’t know the correct spelling, but he pronounced it like my-me-ole-ee. Of course, that was with an American accent on a French name, so who knows.) I would love to find this woman or her daughter, Louise born in 1947.)

Hi Im looking to get in touch with an old friend.Her name was Corrine(or something like that and I am almost sure she lived in the Champagne area,the street name was Rue De La *****not sure of the rest. She would be about 28-29 now and I remember her having long black hair.We met while she was staying in Athlone,Ireland for the summer (between 92-95,not sure of exact year).The group leaders use to organise a disco every Wed night for both Spanish and French students and that is where we met and we use to write to each other after that Summer but I lost contact after a while and would love to get in contact with her again.

From 1982 t0 1987 I was part of a computer users organisation – HLSUA – which stood for Honeywell Large Systems Users Association and had it's HQ in Paris. I became very friendly with the Secretary, Francoise Daigne who was married to Pierre Salvenet. We kept in touch until about 1993 when Pierre lost his job and I believe they had to sell their house outside Paris. I have not heard from her since but would be delighted to get back in contact with her again. If anyone knows of her or her whereabouts, please get in contact with me or pass this information on to Francoise.
