The Golf
Lacanau golf course is situated on the doorstep of the great wine district of Médoc, just a mile from the famous Atlantic beaches and only 30 miles west of Bordeaux.
Designed by John Harris and opened in 1980, the golf of Lacanau amply deserves its international reputation. The golf course sits amongst 50 hectares of heavy pine forests and winds it?s way between the dunes & the groves of broom providing a different challenge on each hole.
Teaching
Our residential golf school courses offer carefully structured lessons and tuition from the french PGA professional Thomas Phelip who recently joined the Lacanau golf team.
Thomas Phelip, with his trainee Arnaud Bajiot, offers you expert coaching in English and in French, for beginners as well as advanced golfers, with a maximum group size of three to six students. You won’t be lost in the crowd! Excellent, all-weather facilities and a covered driving range, mean that golf schools run 7 days a week, all year.
