Description
Arras is an attractive town in the Nord-Pas de Calais region of France. It was much fought-over in World War 1 and is mainly visited by tourists travelling from or to the nearby ports of Calais and Boulogne.
Nord-Pas de Calais is a region of northern France, located to the north of the French capital Paris and situated on the English Channel at the point closest to the English coast. The region also fronts much of the French land border with Belgium.
