Banlieues bleues is one of the biggest jazz festivals in the Paris area, and has been running successfully for the past twenty years. An eclectic, lively festival, it features all kinds of jazz – traditional and contemporary, European and American, blues, soul and much more. With a host of internationally-renowned artists including François Corneloup, Bruno Chevillon and Bernard Lubat on the bill, this is a must for jazz fans who are in the Paris area in the Spring.
On the program this year, the Art Ensemble of Chicago (celebrating their 35th birthday), Joseph Jarman’s official comeback and Flamenco from El Cabrero and Inès Bacan.
There’ll also be something for classical music fans with concerts by the Orchestre National de Jazz, conducted by Claude Barthélemy.
An absolute must for music fans.
