I am planning a trip to Paris the last week of December. Many of the flights arrive in Paris between 8 and 10 AM. Hotel check in time is not until 3PM. Any suggestions as what we can do with our luggage until check in time? Also, do you have any suggestions as to what to do during the six hours or so until we can get situated?

Hello. We usually arrive fairly early in the morning. We go directly to the hotel and ask them to watch our luggage. They usually put it behind the desk or in the dining area. We use their public bathrooms and then disappear for sightseeing and lunch. After lunch (or occasionally before lunch), we return to the hotel and move into our room. We’ve never been refused. We stay at either the Hotel Clement in the 6th or Hotel de la Sorbonne in the 5th but I suspect they would all do the same thing. If you are worried about it, e-mail them and ask.
We usually plan a bit of sightseeing nearby so it’s not a big deal to return and move into our room.
Don’t forget your woolies and an umbrella.
